Waxing Gibbous
Almost full. The work now is refinement rather than initiation — improving what exists instead of adding something new to it.
What This Phase Suits
Refining, editing, preparing for completion
This is the current phase — the Moon is here right now.
Where It Sits
Between half and fully lit, and still growing. The waxing gibbous rises in the afternoon and is high in the sky through the evening, which makes it the phase most people see without looking for it.
It is the longest-feeling phase to a casual observer because the change from night to night is least dramatic here.
How It Is Read
Refinement rather than initiation. The traditional reading is of a thing nearly complete that now needs adjusting - the stage where the work is editing rather than creating.
The unglamorous phase, in other words, and the one least written about. That is fairly true to the shape of most projects.
